KudiGo Storefront is one of the products from KudiGo Inc. With powerful integration with third-party giants in the retail space, we are able to leverage on Sage Accounting and InterSwitch’s powerful payment engine to make this possible.
In this post, my focus will be on helping you maximize your business with our reporting feature. Reporting on Storefront is one of the many modules we have that is inspired by customer feedback and extensive research. If you have the KudiGo Storefront App click it open and then tap on the report. If you don’t then go to Gooogle PlayStore and download now.
Once you have Storefront, open storefront and click the report module.
On the report screen, you will be presented with this screen.
The report is grouped into modules as well. We have Summary, Sales Margin, Sales Orders and Inventories.
Order Summary
The feature was built because of feedback received from several users of our product. The idea is to give you a one-stop glance at your shop performance in the day, week, month, year and within a specific date range. On the summary, you see the total sales recorded. These sales can be filtered by day, week, month, year and for a selected date range. The report is grouped based on products. So simply put you will see something like this
The above means that I have sold “1500 Product” on that day. To further breakdown, it tells me I sold 2 units of that product totaling GHS 3000 an on that sale, I made interest of GHS 200.00. Quantity available tells the volume of the unit left. But in this particular case, the item is a service product so is not discreet that is quantity is not countable. With this information, shops are able to tell the amount and volume of products sold at any particular point in time. This helps them know instantly if they are running at lost or making a profit. With the quantity available you know what is left for the next business day. Whether to prepare for re-stocking or not. Majority of business owners spend hours at this section on Storefront, gaining insight into their business. We are glad as a team to be providing such valuable insight for our businesses.
Sales Margin
At the Sales Margin section, we give you a fair idea of the supposed profit the business is making.
Here, we see the total sales made, the total margin, the total supplier price and the total discount that was given. This is further grouped by product, to help you understand the margin on each product. Giving you an idea about which product you should be focusing on the more and which product price you should consider adjusting. We have seen over the days that some shops are unable to figure out what the right price on an item should be because of the high volume of products they sell. With Storefront Sales Margin Report, you can tell which price adjustment should be made in other to make a profit. Some shops and business owners are forced to price products at a lower price to beat the competition without realizing that they are running at a loss. With Sales Margin Report, you can tell which product is making the loss so that appropriate adjustment can be made. If you haven’t explored this section, please do well to use this to your advantage.
Sales Orders
This section is simply an outline of all orders placed over a specific time period. This helps the shop owner have oversight of the orders placed in his or her shop. We are very glad this is one of the sections Sales Agents results in other to see the sales they have been doing overtime.
Inventory Report
One of the most crucial reporting in KudiGo Storefront is the inventory report. This gives the current stock level at the selected date. This means I can see the quantity of a particular product left in my shop at a particular time. For instance, I can see below that “2 Fit Lace Coloured Spring Wig Clips — Black (12pcs/pk)” as at 18th is out of stock whilst “3 Pieces Bag (Black)” is left with 2,815 units. With this report, you can quickly check the number of items available. A typical use case is when upon visiting your shop yesterday you see 10 units of a product and then today you 5 unit of the same product but the sales agents insist she sold only 2. This is a clear indication that something else might be going on in your absence.
I want to say here that, these reports were created based on user feedback and are very valuable to our users across several markets both in Ghana and Nigeria. If you have not started taking advantage of these powerful metrics then start that now. We want to help you take your business to the next level.
Before I end my post, I want to share one last exciting news with you. All the reports I have discussed above can be filtered by payments methods. So whilst checking the sales order report, you can find out which orders were done by Cash, Card, Mobile Money, USSD, etc.
By applying these filters, you better understand how your business is performing, which mode of payment is bringing the volumes and where to focus your energy.
