From 400 to 3K Transactions In A Month

In this post, I will share with you how the customer relationship we built has increased our transaction volumes by 650% in a month, from 400 to 3k. Once again to remind you, the vision of KudiGO Inc. is
“To empower informal and micro retailers in Africa to gain business oversight, economic stability and financial inclusion”.
That being in mind we started engaging with our customers to help drive the goal the company has set for the month of May.
“To achieve 100 active stores by the end of May”
At KudiGo when we say active stores, we mean a store that is able to place at least 1 sale order in a day. So 100 active stores means to get 100 stores each performing at least 1 sale order each in a day. Sales Order at KudiGO involves three steps.
- Select product to sell
- Add customer information
- Place/record as purchase order
This is how simple it is on KudiGO to create an accounting compliant purchase report, valid customer invoice and receive Card/USSD/QR/PayCode or Mobile money payment.
400 Sales Orders
Back to the gist, in the month of April, we had processed about 400 sales orders on our platform. This was a massive achievement compared to the previous month of only 100 sales orders. But as a company, we knew we could do better. The math is simple, if X number of shops processed 400 sales orders, all we needed to do was acquired more shops to grow the numbers. This makes perfect sense. So we started creating some tailored ads to run on Facebook. The Facebook ads just added to the number of shops we had but not the sales orders. Something has to be done to save the situation. We embarked on the customer visitation. The big turn around is next.
3k Sales Orders
At one of the shops we visited, the customer was experiencing a bit of a challenge. We helped her resolved it and she was back to go. All the customers we visited just got a renewed commitment. Just a week after the visitation and helping them with their issues, we rolled out an update to fixed the issues. The update included some more features recommended by some customers. Like fire from nowhere, sales orders boosted by 650%. The new smart adoption just started growing like crazy. The strategy I believe is in the relationship with the customers. The customers now understood that we had an interest in their businesses and that we wanted to see them grow their businesses. The customers wanted to be sure that we were there for them. They wanted to know that when something goes wrong, the KudiGo Team would be there to help them. I believe the sudden increase in sales volume was mainly due to the trust in the face that, KudiGo will be there to support them. One major take away for the team is that our customers are people with real businesses that need a solution they can trust.
