Bright, VP of Mobile Enginnering KudiGo Inc. KudiGo is an African-based startup that is changing the retail story in Africa. Retail contributes to a very high percentage of the economy in Africa. 2 out of every 3 shops are retail-focused in Ghana. Up until the KudiGo StoreFront solution, there was no single solution to help manage seamlessly retail from manufacturing to the last mile customer making the purchase.

The goal of KudiGo is to achieve in simple terms the following, to an FMG producing milk we want to answer these questions; which customer bought the milk, where did they make the purchase, from whom, at what price point, and at what time of the day did they make the purchase. All these data points lead to a more interesting discussion for the bank. The question for the bank then is how do we help the retailer sell more (the pain of the retailer).

Back to the discussion on why we brought simple but interesting analytics to the StoreFront Mobile App. To the retailer who is our primary customer three things matter to them most.

  1. How much did I sell today?
  2. How did the monies come in? cash or bank
  3. Do I have stock to sell tomorrow?
  4. How were the sales made? (On Credit or Paid)

In an attempt to answer this simple question we created StoreFront 360, a product that gives you a total overview of your business. This worked very well. A year down the line we noticed that the customer had to go through a series of steps to find answers to the questions above. This led to us bringing a simple but clear insight into your business into your StoreFront App.

How does this work?

The analytics sits on your home screen of the admin or the shop owner. This is so because, in our research, most of our users who own the business are not comfortable disclosing the total sales information to the shop attendants. Now the analytics shows you in near real-time all the details on what is happening in your business. In addition, you can change the date settings to check the details for a particular date in history. This gives the retailer an idea of what is happening in the business wherever he/she is at any particular point in time. Very simple and clear answers to the questions we set out to answer.

If you own a shop and still haven't tried the KudiGo StoreFront solution, you are missing out. Try it now!.
