3 Ways To Master The Art Of Saving and Investment
In this post, I want to share with you three habits that helped improved my savings and investment lifestyle. If you stick with these religiously, you can sure make the best out of the little you have. Remember if you do well with the little you have, then you are sure that even if money flows into your account you can handle it.
Don’t hold on long to money
In my experience so far with saving and keeping a tab on your money, the more you keep your money, the more you likely to spend it. What do I mean?. Usually, if you hold on to the cash for long, the temptation to spend it is high. I remember some time ago I had GHS 500.00 from a job I did for a client. Instead of passing the bank and making some deposits into my account, I decided to go home and visit the bank the next day. Just immediately I got home, another pressing need arose and I had to spend part of the money. Before I realized, I have only GHS 200.00 left in my hands. Since then, I make sure to send monies to their destination immediately I got them.
Stick to your budget or investment plan
Usually, we make budgets. But what happens is that we do not stick to our budgets when the money arrives. Another way to master saving money is to try hard and stick with your budget. If you plan to spend only GHS 100 on transportation, as much as you can do not go beyond the budget. If it happens that you always going beyond the budget then maybe you have to revise your budget instead.
Validate every expense you make
On the journey to making money, you have to watch closely and pay attention to your expenditure. One easy way to do this is to double confirm every expense you want to make. Simply delay all things, you want to purchase. For instance, if you want to buy a car, you need to ask yourself over and over again why you need to buy it. By so doing you either confirm the need for it or why there is no need for it.
These simple things above can help you master the art of saving. My friend the best way is to start practicing the things above is to start. I closely followed them and my story has never been the same. I know it will help you too.
